IMD issues a 48-hour rainfall forecast with persistently heavy rain.

Since the city has been receiving heavy rains for the last two days, Mumbaikars often experience traffic jams, significant water-logging, and train delays. IMD has issued Orange Advisory for Mumbai for Saturday.

Mumbai residents are facing traffic congestion, waterlogged roads, and delay in local trains as a result of the recent 2-3 days of incessant rains in the city. Their troubles will not ease as the IMD expects more rain in the coming days. The weather forecasting organization has issued an orange alert for Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Ratnagiri. Along with this, the Palghar district has been kept on red alert.

Mumbai City experienced 82.99 mm of rain over the past 24 hours, 148.40 mm of rain fell in the Eastern Suburbs, and 122.30 mm in the Western Suburbs.

Mumbai will get significant rainfall on Saturday. Malegaon, Jalgaon, Nashik, Aurangabad in Northern Maharashtra, and South Gujarat will also experience very heavy rainfall in addition to Mumbai.
