India will host England, Australia, and Afghanistan in a big home season in 2023–24.

Before the World Cup, India will host Australia in a three-match ODI series. The five-match Test series between England and the Asian powers will take place from January 25 to March 11. During the home season, Afghanistan will also travel to India for a T20I series.

In what is expected to be an exciting 2023-24 home season, India will host bilateral series against Australia, Afghanistan and England. As per the schedule released by the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI), the senior men’s team will play 3 ODIs, 5 Tests and 8 T20 matches during the home season, in which India will also host the ODI World Cup.

In the run-up to the ODI World Cup, India will host Australia in a three-match ODI series. The ODI series will take place at Mohali, Indore, and Rajkot from September 22 to 27.

India will then travel to the ODI World Cup, which begins on October 5 with a match between England and New Zealand, the winners of the 2019 tournament. On October 8, India will play their opening match against Australia.

In contrast to the ODI World Cup, India will begin its preparations for the T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the United States in 2024 by playing 5 T20 International matches against Australia from November 23 to December 3.

Afghanistan will arrive in India early this year for their first official bilateral white ball tour. The final of the three-match T20I series will be followed by matches in Mohali and Indore in Bengaluru, where Afghanistan will play their first Test match.

After that, Test cricket will resume when India host England for a five-match Test series starting January 25, 2024. The thrilling Test series will be played in Dharamsala, Rajkot, Vizag, Hyderabad and Vizag.

The upcoming series will be played across 5 venues, while the 4-match Test series between England and India in 2021 was played only in Chennai and Ahmedabad due to COVID-19 constraints.
